Question 1

What should I keep in mind when buying vintage denim?

Accepted Answer

The biggest difference from modern jeans is the fabric. Authentic vintage denim is usually made of 100% heavy cotton with no spandex or elastane. Because of this, the pants might feel a bit stiff at first, but they will mold beautifully to your unique silhouette with every wear. The best part? Since they’ve been loved before, they already come with that authentic, natural fade that fast fashion brands try to replicate artificially. Every single pair is a true one-of-a-kind.

Question 2

How do I find the perfect fit?

Accepted Answer

Since vintage jeans often shrink over decades of washing, the sizes listed on the old labels (W/L) are usually significantly smaller than modern sizing. It’s best to ignore the label and rely on the exact waist measurements in centimeters listed in our product descriptions. Take a tape measure, measure a well-fitting pair of your own jeans.

Our tip: Use our Size Guide and create a rebe profile to save your measurements.

Question 3

What condition do the vintage jeans arrive in?

Accepted Answer

Every single pair of jeans on rebe is carefully curated, quality-checked, and washed by our independent partner shops. They arrive clean and completely ready-to-wear straight to your doorstep.

Question 4

How do I wash and care for my vintage jeans properly?

Accepted Answer

When it comes to authentic denim, less is more! Wash your jeans as rarely as possible. Often, simply airing them out overnight or hanging them in the bathroom while you shower is enough—the steam naturally refreshes the fibers. If they need a machine wash: turn them inside out, wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle with color detergent, and always skip the dryer. Pro-tip: If your jeans feature rhinestones or prints, gently hand-wash them in cold water instead.
